Could anyone tell me if it is possible for a C program to accept a reference to a TI variable as an argument rather than its value when called from TI-Basic?
The same as TI's InputStr and StoPic, or are those just special cases? |

You have to take it as a quoted string.
Only "TI-BASIC extensions", which have to be installed by a FlashApp or a hackish TSR, can take unevaluated parameters. Regular assembly programs get their arguments in internally simplified form, evaluation has already taken place at that point. |

Ah, sorry, I had forgotten that I asked about this, thank you for your answer!
Yes I figured that would be the case, but I was curious. So I assume then that local variables in a TI_BASIC program would be inaccessible through the string method? |

Pretty much. You can somehow find them in the VAT, but there's no obvious way of getting at them.
