The [fork of TIGCC which is not TIGCC] has made a version of the IDE that has VTI support along with TIEmu support, so that
choice of tools is up to users.
I have mirrored a binary at http://tict.ticalc.org/misc/IDE.exe .
The patches for the improved IDE are available at
http://tict.ticalc.org/misc/0001-Delphi-IDE-1-3-add-back-VTI-support-along-with-a.patch
http://tict.ticalc.org/misc/0002-Delphi-IDE-2-3-add-back-VTI-support-along-with-a.patch
http://tict.ticalc.org/misc/0003-Delphi-IDE-3-3-add-back-VTI-support-along-with-a.patch
As you can see, supporting both VTI and TIEmu is easy.
The target emulator is configurable, as usual, in File -> Preferences -> Transfer.
I've done some testing on my old Athlon 1 GHz running Win ME, communication with both TIEmu and VTI seemed to work correctly. TIEmu+GDB is SLOOOOOOOW on
that old OS...
It would be cool if you readers (the few ones who still attend this board...) could make some testing as well
The executable linked to above was compiled with Delphi 7, so you may experience quirks under Vista. Please report them as if they were IDE bugs, it may be
that we screwed up
[EDIT: F**K THE LINK CONVERSION OF THIS STUPID BOARD !]
[EDIT by Kevin Kofler: Removed abusive references to TIGCC.]
