Just thought I would do a little intro to myself. My name is Jonathan Janevski. I love programming and I have been doing it for a little while now. I started programming with ti83+ calculators (BASIC then z80 ASM). I just recently started programming for the PSP. The other day I received a TI89 titanium for as a birthday gift so I am planning to start programming for this calculator.
I have a website. http://jj.iamjunkie.net where i have posted my works and releases.
Right now I am reading through the C tutorials over at Techno Plaza, as well as the tutorials posted here at TICT.
I am planning on using my knowledge to make some games for TI89t. I am a pretty good pixel graphics artist (only up to four levels of color am I any good
Right now as I am reading through stuff I have a few questions (NOTE: I use TIGCC):
1. A game coded in C will be just as fast as one coded in ASM, yes?
2. I notice that the animated screen shots over at techno plaza run very slow. This worries me a bit. Is this due to bad code practice on their part (i.e. the tutorials give examples which are slow at runtime), or are the animated images just slow due to bad capture software?
3. Should I know anything about sprite routines, etc. or should I just roll through the techno plaza tutorials and I will be ok?
4. If there is anything else I should know I would appretiate any info!
Much thanks to you all! I do hope this place is still alive and that people still program for TI89!
Cheers...
