This is not true on 64-bit GNU/Linux. I already e-mailed a log of the warnings to Lionel 4 months ago. There's still no fix that I know of. So if you want to know why I'm building x86_64 RPMs of all the TI development stuff except the TIGCC Tools Suite, that's why.

You can get his patch and rebuilt i386 and x86_64 RPMs for Fedora Core 6 at the temporary TIGCC Tools Suite 1.40-pre download page. Lionel, can we get an official 1.40 release with this patch some day soon?

Depends on what's left to do on TIGCC Tools Suite (IIRC, only changing the license and sending you it for checking), my schoolwork and other activities. As I wrote to Kevin, I actually _did_ make the work of fixing code in TIGCC Tools Suite 1.40. There's not a single warning left with CFLAGS being '-Wall -W -Os -s -Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2'. It's just that I didn't spend the time to recompile and package everything... Sorry for wasting your time. Of course, I'll have a look at the diff, but I don't think there will be that many differences with my own code.
