I have just released an alpha version of XtraKeys for Fargo II (on the TI-92). I hope that it will work on all ROM versions, and that it runs stable. Please do not distribute this version, and do not diffuse the URL without letting me know before. I also have to precise that I can in no event be held responsible for any damages resulting to your calculator, no matter whether they are a result of the use of my program or not. The courageous people who want to try out the alpha version of XtraKeys92, click here! Please tell me your ROM version and whether it worked as supposed to or not.

The key assignments of XtraKeys are: (i) online help KEY CODE: FUNCTION ASSIGNED: INTRODUCED IN XTRAKEYS (89/92+) VERSION DIAMOND+ESC display key map 2.00 (ii) additional mathematical functions KEY CODE: FUNCTION ASSIGNED: INTRODUCED IN XTRAKEYS (89/92+) VERSION 2nd+CLEAR 10^ 1.00 DIAMOND+CLEAR log 1.00 2nd+MODE ^2 1.00 DIAMOND+MODE ^3 1.00 DIAMOND+^ x\root () 1.00 DIAMOND+ln x\logy () 1.00 DIAMOND+sin abs( 2.00 DIAMOND+cos nCr( 2.00 DIAMOND+tan nPr( 2.00 DIAMOND+( e (Napier / Euler constant) 2.20 (*) = These features are not directly present on the 92, so XtraKeys includes 2 small TI-BASIC user functions. They are defined as: x\root(x,y)=y^(1/x) (xth roots of y) x\logy(x,y)=ln(y)/ln(x) (base x logarithms of y)

(I really like TSRs, and i have a BASIC program that starts them all, along with Unios, after a reset. In total, i have autoclb, autoaoff, onkey, keypass, and fast scroll cursor...) BTW, what's that error that you corrected in TSR support 1.05a? And how come all of my TSRs work fine on AMS 2.05 and HW version 2, without that TSR program?

The change from v.1.04 to v.1.05 was mostly a correction of the signature in the developer versions and a workaround to update versions with a broken signature correctly. The change from v.1.05 to v.1.05a is difficult to explain. Basically, I have replaced a function used during installation ( enter_ghost_space) with a newer version, which no longer tries to write some code at a fixed address (after saving the contents there), which could cause a crash if the code itself was located at that address. >And how come all of my TSRs work fine on AMS 2.05 and HW version 2, without that TSR program? Probably because AutoClBr and Auto Alpha-Lock Off (as well as XtraKeys for the TI-89/92+) install it automatically, so in fact you are probably running it behind the scenes.

Is that patch the almost same thing as TSR support? YIPPEE!!!! now i have 6 TSRs, along with the newly found xtrakeys!!!

And only admins can delete messages. I could do it, but then nobody would know what my previous sentence refers to... As for TSRs, you should also try out Samuel Stearley's TSRs, especially Complete.

That "wierd a" is an alpha (the greek letter for "a"). On-calc, it is character number 128. Here, you will have to use the Symbol font: AutoaOff >Fastkbd (Is this a TSR? It is a TSR, but it installs itself on the "calculator off" trap and not as an "event hook". That is not really the purpose of XtraKeys... There is a TSR called Custom Keyboard by Cyril Pascal (Paxal) under development to do that, but it is not ready yet.
