I was thinking how some people a while back were complaining about how they couldn't create classes and objects in C, particularly TIGCC. And Kevin's response was it created too much overhead or something similar. Well, what if your structures were classes? Classes are data and functions, encapsulated, more or less, right? Well, a structure can hold only the data part, but otherwise, acts exactly like a class in that you create instances of it as variables. Well, You can't have functions...

I've been working on opcode optimisation and found some tricks for slow operations like division, multiplication, and modulu. I checked to see whether these optimisations were implemented in C with TIGCC and they're not. I think it would be great if someone would implement the following opcode optimisations into the compiler. NOTE: I only checked compiler output under the default flag settings.

Multiplication:
x * y
first you shift x by what will give you the closest number to y....
